Antique Lime Juice Bottle Embossed Floral Design 14" L. Rose & Co.
This slender, tall bottle originally held lime juice to be mixed with water. Color is light green; height is 13Ā¾ in. On the exterior are highly embossed leaves and limes with an undecorated area for the label. Also embossed is lettering that reads L. ROSE & CO. (United Kingdom). The bottle is blown in mold with an applied lip (my pic #4 shows a seam). On the base are embossed letters, J K & S and 2 3(or 5) 8 9. The bottle has bubbles in the glass on the base and a few elongated ones on the body. Circa 1880s-90s. L. Rose's Lime Juice was a beloved drink in the 1800's. In good condition with an interior haze - there are no chips or cracks.
